SL-class Mercedes Benz
The Mercedes SL-class is a grand tourer, which made its debut back in 1954. SL stands for Sport Lightweight; this name was first applied to the Mercedes 300SL. All the SL’s have 2 doors; the 300SL was named the ‘gullwing’ because of the doors lifting up into the air.
The fourth generation of the Mercedes SL-class was one of the biggest hits, it was featured in a few major films like the American TV show Dallas. Available in a 7.3L, the SL was pushing out a hefty 525bhp. This car was very rare, the SL73 AMG. In fact, Pagani wanted the engine so they could put it into their Zonda!
